Questions, answered plainly.

Is this tax advice?

No. This is general information, not tax advice. Rules change and depend on your facts. Use it to prepare for a conversation with a qualified adviser.

Do I need an accountant?

Headroom Tax works with your accountant and does not replace a qualified adviser. It gets you ready for the conversation: your figures, the questions to ask and read only access for them.

Your accountant confirms the final figure before a dividend is paid.

Which companies is it for?

Small UK limited companies with a Companies House number, run by their directors. It reads the money that comes through App Store Connect, Stripe and a business bank account.

If your setup is more complex than the tool covers today, it tells you so and points you to a specialist.

What data do you see?

Only what you connect. From a bank statement, the rows: date, amount, currency and description. From Stripe, your balance transactions, without your customers or their cards. From Apple, the financial reports, which do not name your customers.

From Companies House we keep the company's public details and the names of its directors, not their dates of birth, nationalities or addresses. The full list is in our privacy policy.

What happens after I cancel?

Your data stays. Only the Pro features close, and nothing more is charged. You can delete a source, a company or your whole account at any time.
